The ability to influence strategy via data analysis is the foundation of all CMI work. The Category Advisor is the SME for a specific customer/channel and can utilize internal, customer, syndicated, and other third-party data to best position Swire brands to drive category sales and share. This role will be responsible for leading all Category Analysis for their respective customer/channel. Other Category Analysis responsibilities include customer scorecards, top to top prep, holiday recaps, promotional analysis, annual planning support, and other relevant work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 2+ years additional years of category management work experience required
  • 2+ years space planning or category management experience required
  • 4+ years of analytical experience required
  • 1+ years in an analytical role with customer interaction preferred
  • 4+ years experience as a category manager in the beverage industry required
  • Experience in Circana/Nielsen syndicated data required
  • Experience organizing/executing projects that span multiple functions required
  • Experience building & presenting analysis to sales/customers required
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others
  • Knowledge of sales and business processes, forecasting and planning
  • Smart, resourceful, proactive individuals who are constantly unsatisfied with the status quo
  • Trustworthy and seeks to constantly validate the trust of stakeholders through excellent work
  • Effectively communicates & builds relationships at all organizational levels
  • Team player who enjoys improving the greater team’s capabilities

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities

  • Certified Professional Category Manager” certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead all category analysis (as the dedicated SME) for respective customers to best position Swire brands to drive category growth
  • Collaborate with customer leads to develop category strategies and reporting to measure the effectiveness of those strategies
  • Assist with training on “best in class” category analysis standards in order to elevate the team’s capabilities
  • Maintain an organized repository of category analysis work to preserve category knowledge
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
