The CT Technologist works under the supervision of the physician, provides radiologic care, and services to patients by arranging an doperating equipment in order to produce images of the human body for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. The CT Technologist ensures that the Radiology department meets current accreditation program and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists standards and achieves the Singing River Health System objectives. Expectation is for all performed duties to be in accordance with Singing River Health System procedures and policies, accreditation organization, and governing guidance and publications for health care employees. The Float CT Technologist will be required to work at all SRHS facilities.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited, state-approved, School of Radiologic Technology required.
  • Currently registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Licensed by the Mississippi State Department of Health required.
  • Must complete and maintain BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer.
  • A minimum of six (6) months experience in Computerized Tomography Scanning is required for Float CT Tech/Premium Flex CT Tech.
  • Proficient knowledge and ability to use a computer (must be keyboard proficient) and other office technology (i.e., telephone, fax, etc.), MS Outlook and Word.
  • Superior customer service skills and professional etiquette.

Nice To Haves

  • CT Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists preferred.
  • A minimum of six (6) months experience in Computerized Tomography Scanning preferred (for non-float positions).
