About The Position

Provide mentoring and supportive services to children ages 11 – 21 with mental health and/or co-occurring disorders as part of the Children’s Community Action Treatment Team (CAT). Provide services in the community; including school, home, etc. Develop positive relationships by providing guidance and facilitating interactions and services for children and their families in Charlotte County. Observe behaviors and family interactions and provide vital feedback to team members. Interact with community partners and other stakeholders, as appropriate. Hours include evenings and on-call, as necessary or assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience working with children and families.
  • Ability to pass a level II Background clearance and drug test.
  • Valid FL drivers’ license, insurance, and safe driving record.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle in all driving conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the characteristics of children with mental health concerns, families, and family systems.

Responsibilities

  • Complete CBHC New Hire Orientation (NHO) within the first two (2) months of employment.
