About The Position

CCRCE is accepting applications for casual Cafeteria Workers. Casual Cafeteria Workers work on-call in the schools they are interested in throughout CCRCE. Cafeteria Workers are responsible for preparing and serving food from scratch for school food programs, primarily the lunch program. They also perform kitchen duties such as maintaining food safety logs (e.g. temperature checks), washing dishes, collecting and removing compost, recyclables and garbage, cleaning and organizing work areas, equipment, service stations and floors, and restocking supplies as required.

Requirements

  • Experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Completion of food safety training program (or willingness to complete upon offer of employment).
  • Able to perform physically strenuous duties of the position, including heavy lifting (possibly up to 50 lb), walking and/or standing for the majority of each shift, and working in an environment with heat fluctuations.
  • Availability for early morning shift start times as required.
  • Valid NS Driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
