About The Position

PDM, a leader in the HVAC industry with nearly 50 years of experience, is looking for mechanically inclined, self-starter individuals to join our team as Casting Operators! We are committed to quality, innovation, and safety, and we need team members who share our passion. Our copper mill operates 24/7, and you'll be a crucial part of our operation, helping to produce top-quality products in a high-tech environment. The Casting Operator role involves a hands-on approach to setting up, operating, and maintaining casting equipment, with a primary focus on ensuring continuous, efficient production with minimal downtime.

Requirements

Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
A self-starter mindset who can take initiative and work with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail to monitor complex equipment and processes.
A commitment to safety and following procedures every time.
Solid teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively.
Reliability, consistency, and the drive to grow within our company.
Physically fit, with the ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work in various environments (hot in summer, cold in winter).
Ability to communicate clearly and work as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Perform basic machine maintenance.
Manage casting molds.
Control critical process parameters like cooling water and gas flow.
Stay alert to detect malfunctions.
Adjust settings.
Keep detailed records to ensure product quality.
Respond appropriately and efficiently to unplanned process or equipment issues to help maintain safe and steady operations.
Communicate issues clearly.
Suggest improvements.
Work closely with your team to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
