About The Position

The Maintenance Manager at Terrible’s is responsible for overseeing the regional maintenance department, ensuring efficient operations within a specified number of stores. This role includes managing the department’s budget and performance metrics while maintaining high standards of safety and productivity. This role is integral to maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of Terrible's stores, requiring a proactive and detail-oriented leader to drive success.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Exceptional time management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required to read and interpret documents, instructions, and manuals, as well as to communicate effectively.
  • The ability to apply logical thinking to execute instructions and resolve problems is crucial.
  • Applicants must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
  • The role requires regular standing, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • The incumbent must also be able to perform duties in varying work conditions, such as confined spaces.

Nice To Haves

  • A degree from a technical college or a four-year college or university is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the regional maintenance department for a specified number of stores within budget and performance parameters.
  • Oversee staffing and training of maintenance technicians.
  • Manage maintenance inventory, warehouse operations, and shortage control.
  • Review maintenance reports to ensure compliance with goals, and adjust staffing and assignments as necessary.
  • Interpret and enforce company policies and safety regulations among employees.
  • Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Suggest improvements in working conditions and equipment usage to enhance work crew efficiency.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist employees in solving work-related issues.
  • Develop and implement plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals.
  • Maintain accurate time and production records.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors to coordinate activities across departments.
  • Perform tasks alongside supervised employees as needed.
