About The Position

The Casino Host is responsible for developing and sustaining relationships with VIP guests, introducing new VIP guests to the casino property, and developing new markets to target qualified players. This role involves representing the casino at various events and empowering the host to resolve guest issues promptly and effectively. The Casino Host will also work to reactivate inactive VIP patrons through direct contact and meet goals for special events, hotel reservations, and new player sign-ups. Additionally, they will provide complimentary amenities to qualified guests, facilitate information management within the department, and maintain strong communication with other company departments. The role also includes assisting with the credit application process, maintaining knowledge of the casino facility and events, and providing service that reflects the company culture of Satisfaction, Togetherness, Appreciation, and Recognition (S.T.A.R.). A critical responsibility is to immediately report any gaming-related violations to the IGC Agent, Security, and Supervisor on Duty, in accordance with company policy. Miscellaneous duties as assigned are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • 1 – 2 years related experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to speak well and present information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including ACSC programs.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Outgoing and personable.
  • Indiana Gaming Commission Occupational License - Level 2.
  • Ability to apply superior service quality characteristics – courteous, prompt, professional, and confidential.
  • Professional appearance and presentation.
  • Ability to use sound judgment, make quick decisions and deal with difficult guests.
  • Knowledge of gaming regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain relationships with VIP guests.

  • Develop new markets to target qualified players.
  • Represent the casino at on and off property events.
  • Ensure guests’ problems / complaints are resolved in a prompt, courteous and effective manner.
  • Reactivate inactive VIP patrons through direct contact (mail, telephone, e-mail etc.).
  • Meet required goals for special events, advance hotel reservations and new player sign-ups.
  • Provide complimentary amenities to guests who have attained the necessary level of play.
  • Facilitate the effective management of information throughout the department and casino.
  • Maintain strong communication with all company departments in order to complete assigned duties successfully.
  • Assist with credit application process.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the casino facility and current and upcoming events on property; advice guests and employees.
  • Provide service to internal and external customers which reflects the company culture of Satisfaction, Togetherness, Appreciation and Recognition. (S.T.A.R.).
  • Immediately inform on-site IGC Agent on duty, Security and Supervisor on Duty of any Internal Control or State Regulation violations related to gaming activity of which you commit, witness or become aware; must report pursuant to company Self-Reporting Policy.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
