About The Position

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining positive and strong professional relationships with casino guests to maintain a focus on casino marketing, player acquisition, development and retention. In all interactions, the position is responsible for providing STAR Experience to guests and fellow team members a first priority.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Knowledge of and skill in using a personal computer and related software including Microsoft Office, Outlook.
  • Ability to be trained in Casino Data System (CDS) program.
  • Knowledge of and skills in basic math functions.
  • Must be able to do cash handling.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to maintain the strictest of confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to receive a message, understand the intended message and give feedback to ensure guests expectations are met.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with external and internal guests.
  • Ability to determine alternatives that would correct a situation to provide effective guest service.
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a group to make the work of the group successful and effective.
  • Ability to occasionally stand for moderate periods of time (up to 4 hours).
  • Ability to occasionally walk for moderate periods of time (up to 4 hours).
  • Must meet all licensing requirements as prescribed by the Tribal- State Compact for Gaming.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in casino marketing or public relations.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent guest service to guests and co-workers, embodying the STAR Service expectations: Welcoming, Proactive, Unique, Resourceful, and Complete.
  • Listen and respond to guest concerns to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Promote the star rewards card usage and develop positive relationships with casino guests.
  • Encourage guests to use the star rewards card and explain its benefits.
  • Promote casino events and promotions and answer guest questions about them.
  • Refer guests to appropriate personnel for issue resolution.
  • Organize and attend all tiered Elite parties for high end players to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with planning and attend all tiered Elite parties for high end players.
  • Prepare mailing lists and draft letters of invitation.
  • Inform and promote events by calling invited guests.
  • Maintain and organize Star/Sky Lounge to ensure a productive and inviting environment for Team Members and guests.
  • Prepare daily shift reports to include new players club members signed up, Tiered members on site and any questions or concerns that happened during your shift.
  • Utilize VizHost tool during shift.
  • Enter all comps issued into database for tracking of comps issued to players.
  • Answer telephone and make reservations for guests calling with requests for Elite Parties, Concert tickets or dinner.
  • Report to the next shift any problems or concerns encountered during your shift.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
