About The Position

The Casino Accounting Supervisor is responsible for ensuring consistent high-quality service to all team members and guests, maintaining guest service standards, and providing hands-on leadership to the Revenue Accounting department. This role involves preparing and posting revenue journal entries, assisting with general ledger reconciliation, preparing weekly gaming tax returns, and maintaining tracking records for all revenue. The supervisor will also complete all government reporting, monitor staffing levels for budgetary compliance, and manage escalated guest service issues appropriately. A key aspect of the role is ensuring guest satisfaction and upholding company policies, including non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements. The position requires a flexible schedule, including late nights, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by business operations.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in finance or accounting, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Must possess excellent teamwork, interpersonal, guest service, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have a professional demeanor and presence with the ability to interact with guests and team members in the Company.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Louisiana State Gaming Permit.

Nice To Haves

  • An associate’s degree in a finance- or accounting-related field
  • Gaming industry experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent high-quality service to all our team members and guests.
  • Maintain guest service standards and ensure team members perform those standards to achieve a favorable gaming experience for guests.
  • Provide hands-on leadership to Revenue Accounting department.
  • Prepare and post revenue journal entries for all revenues and comp and coupon expenses.
  • Assist with reconciliation of general ledger.
  • Prepare weekly gaming tax returns.
  • Maintain tracking records for all revenue.
  • Complete all government reporting.
  • Monitor staffing levels to ensure budgetary compliance.
  • Manage escalated guest service issues appropriately and discreetly.
  • Have knowledge of guest alcohol limitations and company policy and procedure regarding limitations.
  • Communicates pertinent information to senior staff, surveillance, or other necessary team members that is important to the operation of the casino.
  • Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies.
  • Ensure satisfaction to guests.
  • Follow lawful directions from supervisors.
  • Uphold the company’s non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements.
  • Interact well with others and be a positive influence on team member morale.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including late nights, weekends, and holidays; shifts may change.
