About The Position

This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating the point of sales system, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The Cashier will also be responsible for understanding company products, following cash handling policies, and communicating effectively with guests and management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED, required
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have basic mathematical skills
  • Able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written
  • Must be able to work Weekends and Holidays

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year Cash handling experience in a fast-paced environment, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Participate regularly in departmental and company meetings.
  • Smiles, provides exceptional customer service, and always treats guests and coworkers with respect.
  • Properly operates the point of sales system and accounts for all service items by ringing them into the system and keeping a balanced bank.
  • Knowledgeable in the products the company serves.
  • Understand and follows all Draft Kings at Casino Queen cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Understands salesmanship and customer service is what makes this position successful for the company and the team members.
  • Ability to uphold great communication with guest, build rapport, and engage in friendly conversations.
  • Communicates all guest service opportunities and product shortages or issues to management.
  • Serves food/drink, greets and seats guests, buses and runs food/drink, does side work, plus any other normal functions required to service our guests under normal operating conditions.
  • Sets and keeps workstations and surrounding work areas, properly stocked, clean, safe and organized.
  • Follows the company’s attendance policy as well as other rules and regulations set forth in the handbook.
  • Able to satisfactorily complete assignable work tasks requested by the departmental leaders.
  • Must proactively prioritize needs and effectively manage resources.
  • Immediately report any safety hazards, problems, or maintenance issues to the appropriate party.
  • Ensures the proper steps of service, and our guests needs, are being met.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Benefits

  • Compensation: $17.00 per hour
