About The Position

USC Hospitality serves thousands of students, athletes, faculty, and staff, as well as visitors, across various dining settings from fine dining to residential dining. As a core business unit of USC Auxiliary Services and a major campus employer, we are known for our innovative self-operated food concepts. Our team, led by experienced chefs and directors, is dedicated to providing nourishing and wholesome meals. We are seeking a Cashier to join our growing team, focusing on delivering exceptional and memorable customer service to ensure guests have a positive USC experience and are eager to return.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 6 months - 1 year Demonstrated customer service experience
  • Experience working in a fast-paced retail or quick service restaurant environment
  • Knowledge of food sanitation procedures
  • Ability to lift at least 30lbs
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English
  • Presents oneself professionally, in line with higher education environment

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of experience in a quick service restaurant
  • Experience in a face-to-face customer service environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to faculty, staff, students, and guests.
  • Perform sales transactions utilizing department standards and policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness of facilities.
  • Assist in kitchen sanitation program.
  • Comply with standard food handling and sanitation procedures.
  • Adhere to department service standards and to all health, safety and University rules and regulations.
  • Attend and participate in meetings as required.
  • Report to station, ready to work at the time work assignment is scheduled to begin.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
