About The Position

Kimberton Whole Foods is hiring part-time Cashiers for its Ottsville team. The role is approximately 24 hours per week, scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. One weekend shift and one closing shift per week are required. The starting pay is $16.00 or more per hour, depending on experience.

Cashiers provide friendly, efficient service by welcoming customers, accurately scanning groceries, completing transactions, bagging purchases, and responding to customer questions and needs. They may also perform other duties assigned by the Store Manager or Manager on Duty.

The work involves prolonged standing and frequent movement, along with regular lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 50–75 pounds. Cashiers may need to stoop, squat, kneel, and walk short distances, and must be able to work in cold environments such as coolers, freezers, and back-stock areas.

Requirements

• Must be 16 years or older.
• Part-time availability of approximately 24 hours per week, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.
• Availability for one weekend shift and one closing shift per week.
• Full range of vision, hearing, and smell to read product labels, distinguish colors, assess quality, and communicate with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to frequently lift, grip, and carry objects weighing up to 50–75 pounds.
• Ability to stoop, squat, and kneel to pick up boxes from shelving and carts.
• Ability to walk short distances to retrieve items from various areas.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and remain in motion for most of the workday.
• Ability to work in cold environments, including coolers, freezers, and back-stock areas, and handle cold products for extended periods on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and individually thank them for their business.
• Accurately scan customers' groceries and complete transactions efficiently.
• Carefully and efficiently bag groceries.
• Respond promptly to customer needs and questions, requesting assistance when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or Manager on Duty.
