We invite applications for the positions of part-time Cashiers to join our team at the Stony Plain Food Store located in Stony Plain, Alberta. Open availability is an asset. Requirements

You have a High School Diploma
You have previous retail experience
You have cash handling experience
You have excellent customer service skills
You have strong interpersonal and communication skills
You're able to work in a team environment
You're proficient in a fast-paced and time sensitive work environment
You're able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasional basis
You have intermediate computer skills

Responsibilities

Provide a high level of prompt, friendly and knowledgeable service at all times.
Scan items and process transactions in an efficient manner, resolving customer inquiries and issues as needed.
Handle cash, credit and debit transactions in addition to bagging customer groceries.
Complete return of merchandise following company policy.
Stock and clean the front-end merchandising areas including facing of shelves that are closest to the till.
Complete opening and closing out of registers, reconciling tills following established procedures.
Provide information to customers regarding memberships and assist in selling of new memberships.
Share information with customers and members regarding sales, specials and upcoming store events.
Contribute to a team environment by assisting in other areas as required.
