County Market Cashier
About The Position
The Cashier scans customers’ selections, verifies prices and quantities, accepts payment, issues receipts, answers inquiries, and provides helpful information about products, promotions, and item locations. The role responds to complaints with genuine concern and works to maintain customer satisfaction by resolving concerns. Cashiers provide attentive guest service, process orders accurately and efficiently, handle tenders and coupons properly, package purchases, and keep their workstation clean, organized, and stocked. They follow store, department, and safety policies, perform assigned activities, and complete other duties as assigned. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Position requirements may vary by store location, and management may change requirements at its discretion.

- Ability to meet the listed physical demands, including standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting or moving items up to 75 pounds at varying frequencies.
Responsibilities
- Deliver superior guest service and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Learn and use the GUEST program.
- Greet customers sincerely, smile, project a friendly manner, engage in casual conversation, show respect for purchases, and thank customers.
- Maintain customer satisfaction by providing solutions to concerns.
- Scan products and process customer orders accurately, efficiently, and promptly.
- Handle all forms of tender and coupons properly.
- Package customer purchases in an organized fashion.
- Recognize and differentiate all types of produce.
- Keep the workstation and surrounding area clean, organized, and well stocked.
- Perform fixed activities as assigned by a supervisor.
- Follow all store and department policies and procedures, including safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
