About The Position

Foodland Super Market, Ltd. is a locally owned and operated company with over 75 years of history in Hawaii. This part-time position (24+ hours) involves providing fast, friendly, and accurate check-out services for customers. Evening and weekend availability is strongly preferred, and candidates with open availability will be prioritized.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age
High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must successfully pass math test
Must successfully pass cashier training after hire
TB Clearance required
Must comply with all company policies and requirements
Accuracy and basic math skills are important
Ability to memorize product identification codes and weekly ad specials

Nice To Haves

Evening and weekend availability is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Providing fast, friendly, and accurate check out services for our customers
Using computerized cash register systems, handling and counting money
Bagging customers' orders and helping shoppers find items in the store
Assisting in the cleaning and dusting of the check stands and surrounding areas
Taking “return” products back to proper shelf locations
Weighing, scanning, and bagging orders
Performing a cash audit of the contents in assigned cash drawer
General maintenance, dusting, and cleaning of check stands and surrounding area
Resolving service and product related customer service issues
Providing outstanding customer service
Maintaining a neat, well-groomed personal appearance, observing company dress code
Abiding by all company policies and procedures
Performing other duties and assignments as directed
