About The Position
The Cashier interacts with customers as they enter and leave the retail store, with the primary function of providing excellent customer service. The role has variable hours and may require occasional night or weekend coverage. The Cashier reports directly to the Store Manager and has no direct supervisory authority. The work takes place in a retail store environment, including cold and warm conditions, with an irregular work schedule. The position requires frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, long periods of standing, and frequent bending and twisting. Responsibilities
- Greet customers entering the retail store and assist with customer service questions.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and handle them appropriately.
- Process customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
- Handle cash accurately.
- Price store merchandise as requested by store management.
- Stock merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
- Handle customer returns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
