About The Position

The Cashier interacts with customers as they enter and leave the retail store, with a primary focus on providing excellent customer service. The role involves greeting customers, answering questions and phone calls, processing transactions, handling cash and returns, and pricing or stocking merchandise as requested by store management. Hours vary and may include days, evenings, and rotating weekend or holiday coverage. Applicants must be available to work evenings and/or weekends. Pay is $16.00 per hour, paid weekly on Fridays. This is a seasonal position in a retail store environment, which may include cold and warm conditions and an irregular work schedule. Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Frequent bending and twisting.
• Availability to work evenings and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the retail store and assist with customer service questions.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and handle them appropriately.
• Process customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
• Handle cash accurately.
• Price store merchandise as requested by store management.
• Stock merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
• Handle customer returns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
