About The Position

Valley Natural Foods is looking for a Cashier to be the friendly face that welcomes our customers and helps them find the best in fresh, natural, and local products. If you enjoy working in a positive, team-oriented environment and want to be part of a co-op that values sustainability, health, and inclusivity, we’d love to have you on board! This is a part-time position.

Requirements

• English proficiency
• Excellent time management, organizational and communication (oral, aural, and written) skills
• Detail oriented and able to multi-task and remain flexible to the changing needs of the business
• Regular, predictable attendance
• Availability to work various shifts, including mornings, days, nights and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with POS systems
• Previous customer service and cash handling experience
• Familiarity with natural foods, grocery industry or cooperatives
• Prior cashier or customer service experience is a plus, but not required—we’re happy to train the right person!

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a warm, friendly attitude.
• Efficiently and accurately process purchases at the register.
• Share knowledge about co-op membership, specials, and store products.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area.
• Assist customers with questions and provide excellent service.
