About The Position

Valley Natural Foods is looking for a Cashier to be the friendly face that welcomes customers and helps them find the best in fresh, natural, and local products. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a positive, team-oriented environment and wants to be part of a co-op that values sustainability, health, and inclusivity.

Requirements

• English proficiency
• Excellent time management, organizational and communication (oral, aural, and written) skills
• Detail oriented and able to multi-task and remain flexible to the changing needs of the business
• Regular, predictable attendance
• Availability to work various shifts, including mornings, days, nights and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with POS systems
• Previous customer service and cash handling experience
• Familiarity with natural foods, grocery industry or cooperatives

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a warm, friendly attitude.
• Efficiently and accurately process purchases at the register.
• Share knowledge about co-op membership, specials, and store products.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area.
• Assist customers with questions and provide excellent service.
