About The Position

This position is for a Cashier at That Chicken Place. The role involves providing exceptional customer service, operating the point of sales system, and maintaining a balanced bank. The cashier will be knowledgeable about the company's products and follow all cash handling policies. Success in this role depends on salesmanship and customer service skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with guests, build rapport, and engage in friendly conversations. The cashier will also communicate guest service issues and product shortages to management. Additional duties include serving food/drink, greeting and seating guests, bussing tables, running food/drink, performing side work, and other functions required to service guests. Maintaining stocked, clean, safe, and organized workstations is essential. The role requires adherence to the company's attendance policy and other regulations. The cashier must be able to complete assigned tasks, prioritize needs, manage resources, and report safety hazards. Ensuring proper steps of service and meeting guest needs are key responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • 1 year Cash handling experience in a fast-paced environment, required
  • Food Handler Certification, required
  • High School Diploma/GED, required
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have basic mathematical skills
  • Hep A vaccination on, or before, first day of work
  • Must be able to work Weekends and Holidays

Responsibilities

  • Participate regularly in departmental and company meetings
  • Smile, provide exceptional customer service, and treat guests and coworkers with respect
  • Properly operate the point of sales system and account for all service items by ringing them into the system and keeping a balanced bank
  • Be knowledgeable in the products the company serves
  • Understand and follow all cash handling policies and procedures
  • Understand that salesmanship and customer service are key to success
  • Uphold great communication with guests, build rapport, and engage in friendly conversations
  • Communicate all guest service opportunities and product shortages or issues to management
  • Serve food/drink, greet and seat guests, bus and run food/drink, do side work, plus any other normal functions required to service our guests
  • Set and keep workstations and surrounding work areas properly stocked, clean, safe and organized
  • Follow the company’s attendance policy as well as other rules and regulations
  • Satisfactorily complete assignable work tasks requested by the departmental leaders
  • Proactively prioritize needs and effectively manage resources
  • Immediately report any safety hazards, problems, or maintenance issues to the appropriate party
  • Ensure the proper steps of service, and our guests needs, are being met
  • Perform other duties as assigned
