The Cashier position requires an individual to perform essential duties with accuracy and maintain a high level of productivity. This role involves developing excellent customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior, promoting high morale within the department and store, and maintaining good working relationships with other team members to improve storewide sales. The Cashier must comply with all company policies and procedures, possess knowledge of product locations, and operate the cash register efficiently and accurately. They are responsible for completing all tasks within company guidelines and assisting management. This role also requires knowledge of current product codes, ID policies for checks, tobacco, and alcohol, and the ability to bag purchases efficiently. Awareness of sales programs, pricing errors, and security/cash drawer procedures is essential. The Cashier ensures guests and team members are properly charged for items.
