About The Position

The Deli Department Clerk is a full-time position requiring open availability and weekend work. The role demands accuracy and high productivity in performing essential duties. The individual must be able to develop excellent customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior, promote high morale within the department and store through honest and open communication, and maintain good working relationships with other department managers to improve storewide sales. Teamwork is essential for success. The clerk must comply with all company policies and directives as specified in the Code of Conduct, and provide a professional example for other team members through coaching and personal evaluations. A thorough understanding of deli production fundamentals, including mixing, scaling, cooking, frying, and finishing, is required, along with the ability to teach these skills to others. Maintaining a high level of coordination and communication with other departments is crucial for a smooth flow of products and services throughout the store and within the deli operation. Adequate and appropriate department records must be maintained at all times.
