About The Position

The Liquor Department Clerk is a full-time position responsible for ensuring accuracy and maintaining a high level of productivity within the department. This role involves customer relations, promoting morale, maintaining good working relationships with other departments, and adhering to company policies. The clerk is expected to provide a professional example for team members and maintain a clean and organized department to enhance the customer experience. The position also requires maintaining adequate department records.

Requirements

  • Certification required for operation of forklift and/or pallet jack.
  • Other city, county, state, or federal certifications may be required.
  • Ability to write, speak, hear, and understand the spoken word to respond promptly to pages, requests, team members and guests.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals.
  • Required to use or operate pallet jack, forklift, box cutters, two-wheeler, six-wheeler, baler, ladder, etc.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form or when helping resolve a team member or guest concern.
  • 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or related job experience and/or training are preferred.
  • Previous stocking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit and develop customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior.
  • Promote a high level of morale within department and store, utilizing friendly professional methods of honest and open communication.
  • Maintain good working relationships with other department managers with the objective of improving sales storewide.
  • Comply with all company policies, programs and directives as specified in the Code of Conduct.
  • Provide professional examples for other store team members to follow.
  • Maintains clean and organized department that promotes a great customer experience.
  • Help Maintain adequate and appropriate department records at all times.
