About The Position

Scheels is seeking a Full Time Cashier to join their team. Your primary role will be to manage customer transactions accurately and efficiently while enhancing the overall customer experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
1-3 months of cashiering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet all customers with a smile when entering and exiting the store.
Enhance the customer experience by engaging in conversation while providing personalized service and consistently meeting the goals of the digital receipt program.
Accurately scan every item customers are purchasing, ensuring all merchandise is properly rung through and paid for before the customer leaves the store.
Treat merchandise with care, and bag purchases carefully and efficiently.
Promote the Scheels Visa card and clearly explain all benefits.
Ask every customer to sign up for digital receipts.
End each transaction by saying “thank you” to every customer.
Perform basic math, calculate discounts, make change, and accurately balance the cash drawer.
Operate the computerized register system and follow all cash handling policies.
Maintain an awareness of in-store events and promotions.
Keep the checkout area stocked and clean.
