About The Position

We are seeking a Full Time Cashier for Elk City ACE Home Center 2 in Elk City, OK. This role involves operating the point of sale register, greeting customers, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining knowledge of store promotions and product locations. The cashier will also be responsible for cleaning, stocking merchandise, following store procedures, and answering the telephone. Secondary duties include assisting with loading merchandise for customers and checking in freight. Attention to detail and accuracy are key.

Nice To Haves

H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. is preferred
Retail cashier experience is a plus
Ability to operate office machines, computers, and Excel is a plus
Professional telephone skills
Knowledge of merchandise

Responsibilities

Run POS (point of sale) register
Greeting customers upon entry of store
Customer Service (help customers find what they need in a professional and courteous manner)
Keep up with store promotions and special events
Understanding store layout and location of products
Cleaning and stocking impulse and endcap merchandise
Following store procedures, opening and closing
Answer telephone
Help load merchandise for customers
Help check in freight
Organize point of purchase material, maintain bin tags, shelf labels, and peg hooks
