About The Position
The Cashier/Sales Associate serves customers, operates the register, supports sales, and helps keep the store clean, safe, and well stocked. The role includes cleaning high-use restrooms, gas pumps, floors, windows, entryways, and the parking lot; taking trash to the dumpster in all weather; and stocking shelves, coolers, and displays. Associates may be cross-trained in other departments, including deli, and are expected to follow safety procedures, company policies, and team needs. The position requires working indoors and outdoors in varying weather and being on one's feet for most of the shift.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Must be willing to work hard and remain on one's feet for most of the shift.
- Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
- Ability to frequently lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to a criminal history background check.
- Friendly demeanor, attention to detail, reliability, responsibility, punctuality, and adaptability.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers and operate the register accurately and efficiently.
- Handle lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while following age-verification and legal requirements.
- Provide friendly customer service and upsell when appropriate.
- Clean and maintain store interiors and exteriors, including restrooms, gas pumps, floors, windows, entryways, and parking areas.
- Take trash to the dumpster in all kinds of weather.
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays.
- Cross-train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies.
- Work as a team member and assist wherever needed.
