About The Position

The Cashier/Sales Associate serves customers and helps keep the store clean, safe, organized, and operating smoothly. The role includes accurately processing transactions, assisting with sales, stocking merchandise, maintaining indoor and outdoor areas, and supporting other departments as needed. Associates must be comfortable with physically active work, including cleaning restrooms and gas pumps, taking out trash in all weather, and spending most of a shift on their feet. Full-time and part-time schedules are available.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Must be comfortable standing for most of a shift and working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
Must have basic addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication skills.
Must be able to frequently lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to a criminal history background check.
Friendly and positive demeanor, attention to detail, reliability, punctuality, responsibility, and flexibility.
Must be willing to perform physically demanding cleaning and general store duties.

Previous retail or customer service experience is appreciated but not required.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and operate the register accurately and quickly.
Sell lottery, cigarette, and alcohol products while following age-verification and legal requirements.
Provide friendly customer service and upsell when appropriate.
Keep indoor and outdoor store areas clean and safe, including deep cleaning restrooms, sanitizing gas pumps, picking up litter, and taking trash to the dumpster in all weather.
Stock shelves, coolers, and displays and keep merchandise presentable and full.
Sweep, mop, clean windows, and maintain store entryways and organization.
Cross-train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
Follow safety procedures and company policies.
Work as a team member and assist wherever needed.
