About The Position
This role involves greeting customers, understanding their needs, and assisting them by coordinating with various departments. The position requires processing credit card and cash transactions accurately, maintaining merchandise displays, and ensuring the sales area is neat and orderly. A thorough understanding of company policies and procedures is also essential.
Requirements
- Previous retail cashier/counter sales experience preferred
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Bi-lingual (Spanish and English) preferred
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime if needed
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to pass background check
Responsibilities
- Greet customers, be helpful & determine needs
- Work with various other departments to get answers to customer questions
- Process credit card transactions
- Keep merchandise displays fresh, attractive, maintain product identifier tags
- Verify accuracy of cash transactions, closing the transaction drawer and notify supervisor of discrepancies
- Be fully knowledgeable of company policies and procedures
- Keeping sales area neat, clean, and orderly
