About The Position

America's second oldest horse racing track, the Fair Grounds has been a New Orleans staple since 1852. We are a premiere entertainment venue presenting thoroughbred & exotic animal races, slots, video poker and simulcasting year-round. Located in New Orleans, Fair Grounds operates a slot-machine gaming facility and 13 off-track betting parlors throughout southeast Louisiana.JOB SUMMARYTo assume sole custody and responsibility of the Main Vault and Safe.

Requirements

Must be 21 years or older.
Must have the ability to obtain a Racing License, Video Poker Permit and ABO Card.
High school degree or GED required.
Three (3) years’ experience in cash operations or banking operations; experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Safeguards Main Bank assets and safekeeping funds.
Adheres to all company money handling policies and procedures.
Handles all cash transactions between department staff.
Maintains key control as custodian of sensitive keys through use of the Electronic Key Box (EKB).
Verifies video poker drop funds accepted into Main Bank accountability and verifies all drop paperwork.
Verifies HRM drop funds accepted into Main Bank accountability and verifies all drop paperwork.
Empties SST machines, verifies the funds and complete drop paperwork.
Completes fill and draw transactions when cashiers need additional monies.
Prepares revenue reports and video poker deposit during drops and verifies mutuel deposits daily. Also prepares HRM paperwork from the drop.
Controls custody and issuances of various departmental impressed banks, if any (i.e. food, beverage, mutuel, admissions).
