Cashier Associate
About The Position
The Cashier Associate delivers a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers, applying customer experience principles, and helping maintain a clean, organized store. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss prevention standards and may include cross-training in multiple areas to support business needs. The associate accurately processes purchases and returns, promotes credit and loyalty programs, prepares merchandise for the sales floor, and contributes to store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts. The role also supports a positive store culture, follows company procedures and labor laws, and performs other duties as assigned. The position is at Sierra Store 0156 in Onalaska, Wisconsin. Starting pay is $14.00 to $14.50 per hour; actual pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
