About The Position

The Cash Control Specialist I handles cash processing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, including posting payments, processing payoffs and liquidations, handling returned payments, processing loan-level disbursements, and working with ACH transactions. The role also handles incoming mail for the Cash room and performs related duties as assigned by management. The position is on-site.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of previous Banking, Accounts Payable, or Accounts Receivable experience.
• Current working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to accurately 10-key by touch at a minimum of 10,000 KPH.
• Availability to work overtime when requested and required by business needs and communicated by the manager.
• Employees must have a smartphone meeting Company security standards and be able to install apps such as Microsoft Authenticator; employment is contingent on this requirement.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience in a lending environment.
• Experience with MSP or similar mortgage servicing systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform general payment processing in a fast-paced environment, with multitasking required.
• Handle incoming mail delivered to the Cash room.
• Process transactions including payoffs, payments, refunds, reversals, reapplications, and returned payments.
• Process liquidations, including third-party sales and short sales.
• Reconcile Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments daily.
• Process loan-level disbursement voids.
• Perform related duties as assigned by management.
