About The Position

We are a nationwide mortgage lender specializing in FHA, VA, USDA Loans. Our Headquarters are located in Henderson, NV. We are a lender/servicer who works with loan originators, brokers, and correspondents to offer our customers great rates and competitive terms. The Cash Accounting Representative is responsible for supporting daily cash management and reconciliation activities within a high-volume mortgage lending environment. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions by reconciling bank activity, monitoring payment exceptions, processing deposits, and maintaining detailed payment records. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience with payment processing systems, and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams and banking partners.

Requirements

Proven experience with strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Proficiency in Windows and Encompass (Encompass preferred)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
Experience in payment processing or a related financial operations field

Responsibilities

Record and reconcile daily cash transactions to ensure accurate bank balance reporting and financial integrity.
Analyze daily check exceptions through Positive Pay systems to identify and prevent fraudulent payment activities.
Research and reissue stale-dated or uncashed checks while maintaining compliance with company policies and banking regulations.
Update and maintain the master check tracking log to support accurate payment monitoring and audit readiness.
Deposit processed funds using Remote Deposit systems and collaborate with banking partners to resolve suspicious payment issues efficiently.
