The Division of Child and Family Services is recruiting for a Casework Management Specialist 2, underfilling a Casework Management Specialist 3 position in the Elko Child Welfare office. In this role, incumbents determine social service needs of clients, develop appropriate solutions and case plans, and provide ongoing case management services. Advancement to the next level may occur after meeting minimum qualifications, satisfactory performance, and with endorsement from the appointing authority. The incumbent provides child welfare services to children and families, developing and implementing case plans with intervention strategies to meet a child's needs. This includes ensuring children's medical, mental health, and educational needs are met, and providing strength-based, family-centered case management services that promote the safety, well-being, and permanency of children. Duties involve home visits, monitoring services, report preparation, and record keeping. Incumbents receive training in performing the duties outlined in the series concept. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available. Casework Management Specialists provide casework services and service coordination for children, vulnerable and/or older adults, and their families, and may be assigned to specialized programs or facilities where duties can be performed in the home or similar residential settings.
