About The Position

The Case Manager will be responsible for analyzing and recommending programs for offenders, providing direct aid and counseling, and facilitating their personal, educational, vocational, and social development. This role involves continuous evaluation of offender progress, coordination of problem cases, and recommending improvements to facility services. The Case Manager will also promote positive social skills and maintain accountability and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Review background files, conduct interviews, and analyze information to recommend programs for offenders.
  • Initiate and maintain individual personal social development (PSD) folders.
  • Provide direct aid and counseling for offenders' personal needs (e.g., sickness, injury, family problems).
  • Offer continuous educational, vocational, personal, and social adjustment counseling (individual and group).
  • Recommend program modifications as needed.
  • Conduct continuous interpretation and evaluation of offender progress in their development program.
  • Coordinate problem cases and suggest improvements in guidance and development techniques.
  • Maintain documentation and records.
  • Recommend and conduct training sessions to improve staff proficiency in guidance and social adjustment.
  • Recommend medical or psychiatric evaluations for emotional or psychological problems, evaluate results, and take remedial action.
  • Assist in evaluating facility services for offenders and recommend modifications.
  • Promote the development of positive social skills by modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed.
  • Maintain accountability of offenders and property.
  • Adhere to safety practices.
