About The Position

The Case Manager will oversee and manage a caseload from inception to resolution, ensuring timely progress and compliance with deadlines. This role involves acting as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates, answering questions, and addressing concerns. The Case Manager will also be responsible for organizing and maintaining case files, conducting legal research, coordinating schedules, assisting with the discovery process, conducting client intakes, serving as a liaison between parties, supporting case strategy development, and ensuring compliance with laws and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and empathize with clients effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate and complete documentation.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software for data entry and documentation.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies or related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a legal intake or client services role is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and case management systems is advantageous.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are properly filed, stored, and easily accessible.
  • Conduct research on case law, statutes, and legal precedents relevant to ongoing cases.
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments, court dates, meetings, and deadlines for attorneys and clients.
  • Assist in gathering evidence, organizing discovery materials, and managing the exchange of documents between parties.
  • Conduct initial client interviews, gather pertinent information, and open new case files.
  • Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, experts, and other parties involved in the case.
  • Work closely with attorneys to develop case strategies, including trial preparation and settlement discussions.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable laws and ethical standards, and keep clients informed of case status.
