About The Position
Recover is a startup dedicated to improving the effectiveness, accessibility, and affordability of mental health and addiction treatment. They partner with governments to enhance treatment outcomes for individuals in need, with a specific focus on ensuring low-income Americans have access to top-tier care. Their program offers treatment for individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges, employing a harm reduction approach and serving marginalized communities. The team is small but growing rapidly, seeking individuals to join them in their expansion. The company boasts a team with backgrounds from prestigious institutions like Yale Law, UCLA School of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, and includes former White House staff.
Requirements
- Certified or Registered Alcohol or Drug Counselor OR Licensed Therapist (LCSW, ACSW, LMFT, AMFT, etc.)
- 1+ years of experience in addiction treatment

- Fluent in Spanish

Responsibilities
- Work directly with clients to help them access services and resources during their substance use disorder treatment.
- Spend most of the time meeting with clients to complete intakes.
- Identify individual recovery needs.
- Connect clients to appropriate services and resources.
- Help clients navigate available resources.
- Develop relationships with clients and guide them through their recovery journey.
- Encourage clients to follow through on linked resources/opportunities.
- Collaborate regularly with the treatment team (medical director, nurse practitioners, counselors) to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
