Case Manager - Part Time, Weekends Only!
About The Position
The Case Manager works at Danvers Treatment Center, a 41-bed detoxification program providing 24-hour nursing care to people withdrawing from alcohol and/or other drugs. The center offers medical and emotional support during recovery, including individual case management and group treatment focused on helping clients access step-down levels of care. This role advocates for and serves people affected by addiction within a collaborative, patient-centered organization. The position is part-time for 16 hours each weekend, Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The Case Manager gathers intake documents and information, conducts individual intake evaluations and counseling, contributes to education and group programming, and helps coordinate clients’ continuing care and transition to appropriate services.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of related experience and/or training in addiction treatment.
Nice To Haves
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field preferred.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing preferred.
Responsibilities
- Obtain documents and relevant intake material.
- Conduct individual intake evaluations and counseling sessions.
- Share responsibility for education and other group programming activities.
- Participate in client evaluations and case conferences.
- Refer affected family members to self-help programs when applicable.
- Assess patients’ continuing care needs, contact appropriate aftercare resources, and arrange transfer or admission to rehabilitation facilities and/or liaison with self-help organizations.
- Coordinate clients’ transportation to the next level of care.
