About The Position

Operation PAR, Inc. is a non-profit organization offering the full continuum of services for individuals with substance use and/or mental health disorders. PAR has been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in west Florida since 1970 through advocacy, education, clinical services, and research.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • One year of experience working in behavioral health required
  • CPR and First Aid certification to be completed within six months of employment
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must pass a level II background check and drug screen
  • Must maintain current training as required by Operation PAR, Inc. policies

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Links individuals with Substance Use Disorder, substance use/opioid-related overdose survivors, those with health-related issues due to substance use to Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), detox, and various inpatient and outpatient programs.
  • Uses time spent communicating with those in the hospital/community to assist in initiating treatment and engage patients in on-going treatment and recovery support.
  • Provides educational resources, community resources and support to participants and their friends, family, and caregivers regarding overdose prevention, treatment for substance use disorder, and recovery support.
  • Provides triage, screening and evaluation services to determine appropriate level of care.
  • Is responsible for timely, professional documentation and data collection according to Operation PAR standards.
