About The Position

Morgan & Morgan is seeking an organized, customer-focused, and empathetic Case Manager to handle a varied caseload. The Case Manager assists attorneys with developing settlements, preparing documents and correspondence, and managing case files from intake through closing under an attorney’s direction. The role involves regular communication with clients, insurance carriers, healthcare providers, attorneys, and coworkers, as well as preparing demands and supporting materials for submission to carriers.

Requirements

• Ability to be a team player and follow procedures.
• Proactive interaction with clients, insurance companies, and medical providers.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong writing and communication skills, with attention to detail.
• Extensive computer and database expertise, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Prior experience as a Personal Injury Case Manager.
• At least two years working in a legal position or insurance adjuster experience.

Responsibilities

• Interact daily with existing and potential clients by telephone and in person.
• Order medical records from providers and communicate with clients and providers during treatment.
• Obtain documents needed to support injury and/or liability positions.
• Work with insurance carriers and healthcare providers to secure records and account balances.
• Negotiate case settlements with insurance carriers and negotiate reductions of outstanding medical balances with providers.
• Work with multiple coworkers involved in managing and supporting case files.
• Maintain organized case files.
• Prepare comprehensive demands and assemble supporting materials for submission to carriers.
• Interact with attorneys and present case synopses when required.
• Manage case files from intake to closing under the direction of an attorney.
