About The Position

This is an entry-level management position responsible for the supervision and coordination of quality services and staff of a case management team focused on the provision of case management services in the areas of dependency and adoption. The role involves direct supervision of the case management team, ensuring the coordination, accuracy, appropriateness, and timeliness of workflow. The supervisor acts as a mentor and coach, assisting and training team members, and may occasionally troubleshoot cases to ensure timely monitoring and delivery of services. Documentation skills are essential, as is the ability to teach others to document clearly and concisely. The position requires the ability to assist, interpret, and deliver case and court-related information, along with a positive attitude, patience, and respect for peers, team members, children, and families. Participation in an on-call rotation and proficiency in Microsoft Suites are also required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human services
  • Case Management Certification required
  • Subject matter expertise in foster care and adoptions
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • 2+ years in direct service preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suites
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a group/team setting
  • Ability to take guidance and direction from supervisors

Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of case management team
  • Coordination, accuracy, appropriateness, and timeliness of workflow
  • Mentor and coach to assist and train team members
  • Occasional case troubleshoot and ensure timely monitoring and delivery of services
  • Document timely in a clear, concise manner, and teach others to do so
  • Assist, interpret, and deliver case and court related information
  • Arrive/report to work on time and ready to work

  • Participate in on call rotation
  • Supervise day to day operations of one case management team
  • Oversee and direct the client data collection and reporting processes
  • Ensure cases have a full case review supervision bimonthly and the case manager has individual supervision bimonthly
  • Participate in projection tracker updates and permanency cohort meetings
  • Intentionally participate in the retention of staff, treating everyone based on their level of need
  • Coordinate team on-call cycle ensuring that clients have access to case management and other staff as appropriate
  • Handle low level crisis calls and situations, informing, and engaging chain-of-command as necessary and appropriate
  • Provide, as needed, assigns direct services to programs, children, and families
  • Participate in community groups, meetings, and training related to program issues YFA is involved in
  • Maintain professional certification by participating in continuing education process
  • Understand and demonstrate sensitivity to cultural, community, family, and child needs
  • Complete other tasks or special projects as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or leadership
