About The Position

This role requires a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to serve as a Case Manager. The position involves engaging with patients and their families, maintaining clinical competency, and staying current with regulatory and payor requirements. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, maintaining a professional demeanor in all situations.

Requirements

• Graduate from a recognized Nursing School or College.
• Current New York State RN License.
• PRI certification within one year of hire.
• 3-5 years clinical nursing experience, preferably in an acute care hospital.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Evidence of continuing education courses, conferences or seminars.

Responsibilities

• Engage with patient and/or family members with respect to cultural differences and sensitivity to individuality.
• Maintain clinical competency and current knowledge of regulatory and payor requirements to carry out job responsibilities.
• Maintain a calm, rational, professional demeanor when dealing with others, even in situations involving conflict or crisis.
• Employ a high degree of skill in all oral & written communication and personal interactions.
