About The Position

Help transform lives through compassionate care, individualized case planning, and Christ-centered support for individuals experiencing homelessness. We are seeking a dedicated Case Manager to join our team and make a meaningful impact in our community. Springs Rescue Mission considers every position one of ministry and a vital and valued part of our team. Springs Rescue Mission (SRM) has been given the privilege of caring for the tenants and clients of Greenway flats and the Studios. The Case Manager Team will guide and assist tenants and clients in focused SRM program interventions. This includes providing case management, life skill training, intervention, and plan development for clients.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of previous experience working within homeless/mental health/addiction field
  • 5+ years working directly with individuals who have had homeless, mental illness, and/or addiction related issues.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Biblical Studies, or a related field preferred.
  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is a constant witness. Christ-centered and compassionate attitude in dealing with people including the homeless and faithfully upholds and exemplifies SRM’s Statement of Faith
  • Ministry minded, mature Christian with the passionate belief and commitment to invest in individuals, demonstrating Christ’s love and grace through relationship healing and practical assistance.
  • Experience and/ or education in case management.
  • Experience in conflict resolution.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to listen and guide according to biblical principles and individual needs. Effectively and practically communicate and counsel according to Biblical concepts of grace and truth.
  • Exercise sound judgment demonstrating proficiency in analysis, problem solving, mediation and conflict resolution.
  • Good program development skills, able to grow and improve program in alignment with core values.
  • Good writing and teaching skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience in the professional community with the ability to effectively interface and establish relationships to create appropriate community relations with similar agencies, other human resource organizations and legal organizations within the community.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while achieving program outcomes and meeting deadlines.
  • Insightful, trustworthy, honest, and perceptive.
  • Excellent organization skills with regard to people and information.
  • Computer literate, knowledgeable in word, excel, database management systems and internet.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective and proper case management to the clients within the Reintegration Department PSH or Transitional Housing properties.
  • Develop individual and community plans that encourage participants to engage in services.
  • Assist in the pantry system, requesting goods to fill the pantry, stocking, organizing, managing as needed.
  • Interact with and report to the Senior Manager of Reintegration.
  • Interact with property management, its representatives, and employees.
  • Collaborating with partner agencies working with the Reintegration Department, coordinating with existing partners and seeking out new relationships as needed for the care of the tenants/clients.
  • Organize and carry out community events and recreational activities.
  • Facilitate meetings with the tenant council.
  • Work to avoid resident evictions whenever possible, in coordination with property management.
  • Mediate client disputes when necessary.
  • Coordinate with other SRM case managers and departments to enhance and expand the services in the Reintegration department.
  • Assists and or sits in as needed with front desk duties.
  • Facilitate/teach assigned classes and workshops.
  • Assist clients with lease violation mitigation
  • Assist clients with paperwork as needed to include but not limited to; benefit renewal or establishment, re-examinations, lease and housing voucher requirements.
  • Attends all required meetings and reviews SRM emails regularly.
  • You may be required to drive on behalf of Springs Rescue Mission, so a valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required. To ensure the safety of our employees and compliance with state and federal law, SRM utilizes ongoing Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring. This means that you may be required to have MVR report run at any time to ensure you have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record if utilized as driver.
