About The Position

BronxWorks is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Case Management Supervisor to join our team. The supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing a team of case managers. The supervisor provides guidance and instructions to their team regarding the handling and processing of cases on behalf of clients seeking housing assistance. This includes speaking to landlords, brokers, clients, and general outside entities as a knowledgeable resource when requested as well as holding regular supervision meetings with case managers to ensure proper attention is given to all cases on their team’s docket. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have the ability to multi-task, be flexible to programmatic change and adapt accordingly, be extremely organized, and be adept at working with multiple software platforms. We are looking for strong assessment and analytical skills, structured organization and filing skills, robust conflict and de-escalations skills, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Requirements

  • Completed master’s degree required
  • Proficiency in modern business communications including personal computers, electronic mail, voicemail, facsimile and copier equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Three to five years of experience providing case management services preferred
  • Prior supervisory experience working in a social service agency preferred

Responsibilities

  • Review client intakes and determine client eligibility for Homebase services
  • Review cases, to ensure that they meet ESG/EAF eligibility requirements
  • Ensure that ineligible clients are referred to appropriate alternative services
  • Ensure that client records are in compliance with ESG/EAF guidelines
  • Review HRA guidelines with staff to ensure that case managers understand ESG/EAF requirements
  • Review HRA database frequently to ensure that case management staff is complying with HRA quality assurance requirements
  • Conduct weekly supervision with staff and complete supervision forms
  • Complete individual monthly reports for line staff
  • Review Financial Assistance Requests
  • Assess with case managers the risk of clients entering shelter system
  • Review and sign all client service plans
  • Review and sign documentation in client files, where supervisory signature is required
  • Conduct Quality Assurance reviews to ensure cases and case records (paper and electronic) meet ESG/EAF standards
  • With Program Director, create disciplinary plan of action for staff not meeting their job requirements
  • Participate in both internal and external training.
  • Complete annual certifications (Mental Health, Mandated reporter)
  • Maintain knowledge of client services (PA, Medical, Mental health)
