About The Position

This role involves providing supervision, planning, and overall coordination of case management services for DV emergency safe havens. Key responsibilities include ensuring adherence to case management standards, regulatory, and funding requirements. The manager will assist in strategic and operational planning for residential safe haven programs, co-facilitate weekly Client Review meetings, and coordinate client group activities such as community meetings, red flag meetings, and client workshops. The position also entails assisting clients and staff in fostering a safe and supportive community, conducting semi-annual outreach to former clients for exit surveys, and coordinating with Safe Haven management to support clients and provide interventions. Rotational on-call coverage is required. The role includes compiling and reviewing monthly program statistics and reports, and maintaining Office of Homeless Services coordinated assessment reports and other community-level data for housing applications (CEA-BHRS). All duties are to be performed in accordance with the agency's mission, vision, trauma-informed practices, and agency standards.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field from an accredited institution required.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience in social services, working with vulnerable populations, domestic violence and/or residential setting is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of Case Management experience working with vulnerable populations.
  • Experience with residential and supportive programs, and knowledge of Philadelphia’s housing programs are required.
  • Experience in leading focused and unstructured groups required.
  • Demonstrated excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Prior experience using client database is required.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office software, Outlook, Word, & Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively represent an advocacy agency or function is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population in is required.
  • A valid driver’s license required.
  • PA Domestic Violence Advocate Training Certification required, post hire.
  • Satisfactory Child Abuse, Criminal and FBI Clearances, required pre-hire and regularly run thereafter (expenses paid by WAA).

Nice To Haves

  • A MSW or MAA preferred.
  • Demonstrated skills in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, group facilitation and client supportive counseling is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in an urban setting strongly preferred.
  • Bilingualism is strongly preferred.
  • Vehicle ownership preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct semi-annual outreach to former clients (exit surveys) to determine if more resources or support are needed.
  • Coordinate with Safe Haven management and teams to support clients, coordinate groups, and provide interventions.
  • Perform rotational on-call coverage for sites.
  • Compile, review, and maintain monthly program statistics and other reports as needed.
