This role is responsible for expediting patient discharges by ensuring external providers have all necessary documentation. The Case Management Assistant acts as a liaison between the Case Management team, Admissions, and Payers, facilitating communication and documentation processes. They also obtain authorizations for ancillary services and manage denial reporting to ensure patients receive needed resources and the hospital's work is accurately recognized.
