About The Position

This role provides various services supporting the case management process. Responsibilities include obtaining and recording authorizations for ancillary services, denial reporting, facilitating and documenting referrals to appropriate facilities or agencies with patient choice, expediting discharges by transmitting necessary documentation to providers, documenting all interactions with payers, communicating status with appropriate staff and case management staff, arranging for patient transfers, and functioning as a key point of contact between case management staff, admissions, and payers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide various services supporting case management process.
  • Obtain and record authorizations for ancillary services and denial reporting.
  • Facilitate, identify and document all referrals, along with patient choice, to appropriate facilities or agencies.
  • Expedite discharges by transmitting appropriate documentation to providers for acceptance of patient.
  • Document all interactions with payers and communicate status with appropriate staff.
  • Communicate status with case management staff and arrange for patient transfer.
  • Function as a key point of contact between case management staff, admissions and payers.
