About The Position

Leidos Intel Sector is seeking a TS/SCI with polygraph cleared medical Case Manager who is seeking a rewarding and challenging opportunity supporting medical services for an Intelligence Community (IC) customer in Virginia. This is a position with tremendous opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting an important mission in the National Security arena. In this role you will support Case Management services for injured, ill or recovering clients. You will receive and review claim requests and submitted forms, providing quality control, and answering inquiries regarding qualifications. You will manage a case load, proactively communicating with each assigned claimant, and provide advice and guidance to assigned claimants related to their qualifying injury. You will review medical documentation submitted by claimants for the purposes of processing approvals, benefits and to assist with guiding their care plan. You will document all communications with their assigned claimant, goals, and actions into the record keeping systems and ensure the medical parts of the record system are current for each of their assigned claimants. You will conduct research to assist case developers with new case documentation requirements using Sponsor documentation databases. You will provide high quality customer service through various forums (telephone, in-person, and electronic interface) with claimant. You will work closely with and integrate with other personnel (Case Developers, Finance, other Program Managers) to develop and process accountings, medical pre-approval actions, and accurate official records. You will conduct research on emerging trends to assist with development of policy, processes, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Registered Nurse, Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner or a Board-Certified Physician Assistant
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, nursing, psychology or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant case management experience in a healthcare or social services setting
  • Experience in home health care facilities is applicable
  • 2+ years of experience working the areas of community resources, military treatment, or support services
  • Experience with care delivery, psychosocial support and reimbursement systems
  • An understanding of rehabilitative strategies
  • Ability to establish working relationships and effective communication with professional personnel of various backgrounds
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Previous experience in writing factual, clear, and concise reports, to include situational analysis
  • Ability to maintain daily scheduled activities and effective time management skills
  • Decisive and efficient decision-making skills

Nice To Haves

  • Nationally recognized current board-certification as a Certified Case Manager (CCM) from the Commission for Case Management Certification, and/or a willingness to obtain such certification
