About The Position

Case Administrators play a vital support role in probation teams, helping to keep the public safe and giving people the chance to turn their lives around. This varied role offers the chance to make a difference, gain new skills, and build a rewarding career within the Probation Service. New entrants are expected to join on the minimum of the pay band, with opportunities for annual pay progression through a Competency Based Framework (CBF) as competence grows. Probation Service also increases their pay band ranges annually in line with Civil Service Pay guidance. This is an administrative job within the Probation Service, supporting probation staff to work with people on probation. As a case administrator, you’ll ensure all processes run efficiently, systems are maintained properly, and probation information is collated and prepared for case files. You’ll use your strong communication skills to handle enquiries from colleagues, agencies, and people on probation in a busy environment.

Requirements

  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Complete a short application form detailing responses to Civil Service Behaviours and Experience based questions.
  • Sit the Civil Service Judgement test (CSJT).
  • Demonstrate evidence of experience.
  • Meet minimum selection criteria for the role.
  • Pass the CSJT and application sift process.
  • Pass VISOR vetting post offer.
