About The Position

Assist CASAS with creative media needs for events, marketing, and print and digital materials. This role involves brainstorming and developing creative video concepts, participating in production meetings, preparing and operating professional video, lighting, and audio equipment, capturing high-quality video content, collaborating with university faculty and staff, editing polished video content using Adobe Creative Suite, and organizing project files and assets. The position also includes completing special projects and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Current Liberty University student in good standing with the University
  • Able to work between 12-16 hours a week (between the hours of 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday)
  • Possess a creative mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to learn
  • Able to give and receive creative feedback
  • Understand camera, video and audio equipment and functions
  • Professionalism to interact with department and university leaders
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience in videography
  • Eligible for Federal Work Study, Work Assistant, or International Work Supplement (depending on position)
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well articulated information.
  • Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.
  • Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University to a variety of business and community customers and associates.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.
  • Proof of a valid driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, LU Driving Approval, and liability insurance is required when driving in the performance of the employee’s position.

Nice To Haves

  • Cinematic Arts, Digital Media, or similar major
  • Color-grading and motion graphic animation skills
  • Proficient in audio processing, mixing, and editing techniques for video production

Responsibilities

  • Brainstorm and develop creative video concepts that support departmental and University initiatives.
  • Participate in production meetings to collaborate, plan, and coordinate upcoming video projects.
  • Prepare, transport, and operate professional video, lighting, and audio equipment for on-location and studio productions.
  • Capture high-quality video content while maintaining professional production standards throughout each shoot.
  • Collaborate effectively with University faculty, staff, students, and on-screen talent during all phases of production.
  • Edit and produce polished video content using Adobe Creative Suite, including audio mixing, color correction, graphics, and final delivery.
  • Organize project files, media assets, and production workflows to ensure efficient post-production and content management.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
