About The Position

The Carwash Lead provides customer service and supports day-to-day car wash operations. The role involves greeting customers, answering questions, explaining wash options, addressing customer inquiries and issues, and completing all Car Wash Attendant duties. The Lead maintains site cleanliness, performs opening and closing procedures, and handles basic troubleshooting of XPT and DRB issues according to DRB Protocol. The position also includes completing supervisor-level DRB training and preventative maintenance training, and assisting the Site Manager with tunnel and chemical room equipment repairs. The Carwash Lead must be able to work with minimum direction and periodic supervision, demonstrate responsibility when the Site Manager is off site, enforce safety policies, and follow dress and appearance standards. The role is based in a typical outdoor car wash environment and requires adherence to operating procedures, OSHA safety guidelines, and PPE requirements. Flexible availability includes days, evenings, overnights, and weekends.

Requirements

At least six months as a Car Wash Attendant before advancement.
Excellent communication skills, including active listening.
Excellent sales and customer service skills.
Ability to anticipate customer needs.
Ability to work weekends.
Ability to demonstrate responsibility while the Site Manager is off site.
Ability to work safely in accordance with standard operating procedures without endangering oneself or others.
Ability to work in damp and humid conditions and outdoor variable weather.
Ability to stand and walk throughout the workday; use hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stop, crouch, and kneel.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.
Some car wash experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt, courteous, friendly, and attentive customer service; greet customers, answer questions, and explain available wash options.
Ensure customer satisfaction and promptly report inquiries, incidents, and issues.
Complete all Car Wash Attendant job duties.
Troubleshoot basic XPT and DRB issues and follow DRB Protocol.
Read the Supervisor Level DRB training course.
Attend Preventative Maintenance Training and complete five days of preventative maintenance.
Report to work on time and follow dress and appearance codes.
Maintain and clean the site.
Perform opening and closing procedures.
Demonstrate responsibility while the Site Manager is off site and work with minimum direction and periodic supervision.
Enforce safety policies and follow OSHA safety guidelines and protocols.
Understand the functions of chemical room equipment.
Assist the Site Manager with tunnel and chemical room equipment repairs.
Clean out solenoids.
Work weekends.
